history

Trebschen was first mentioned in 1308 in a document issued by the Lebuser Bishop Friedrich I ; at that time it belonged to the diocese of Poznan . In 1442 the Trebschen estate, together with the Padligar ( Podlegórz ) estate, passed to the Troschke family , who had a noble residence built here. Trebschen and Schwarmitz ( Swarzenice ) belonged to the family seat . In the 17th and 18th centuries, many Protestant religious refugees came to Trebschen.

In the 18th century, today's castle was built and the town elevated to the status of a town expanded. In 1765 Trebschen came together with Radewitsch ( Radowice ) to the Princes Reuss-Köstritz . From 1861 Heinrich VII. Prince Reuss zu Köstritz was the owner of Trebschen. In 1943 Gut Trebschen was bought by Adolf Fürst zu Bentheim-Tecklenburg .

As a result of the Second World War, the region fell to the People's Republic of Poland in 1945 . Today there is a school in the castle.

Building

The manor house , which was built in the 16th century, was converted into a castle in the 19th century, with the manor house being expanded on both sides and a tower built on the west side, the façade of which shows bosswork across the board to the west. Together with farm buildings, stables, carriage shed, riding hall, church and landscape park, the castle formed an ensemble. From 1880 the castle was rebuilt by Henry VII. An extension was built on the west tower and the exterior was redesigned in the French neo-Renaissance style. The windows are rectangular and framed by profiled bottles, the windows of the ballroom are closed with round arches. A representative outside staircase leads to the main entrance. The three-axis pseudo risalit in the central axis is crowned with a dormer and mansard roof.
