Voglsang Castle (Ennstal)

Voglsang Castle (Ennstal) is located in the municipality of Losenstein in the Steyr-Land district in Upper Austria (Laussa Straße 73).

The castle is also called Matuschka Castle after its current owner . The building is entered in the land register as a “hammer mill in the valley”. A countess living around 1778 is mentioned as the first owner; allegedly a picture of her hangs in the vestibule. Baron von Voglsang owned the castle for 25 years. Then it came to Hannes von Matuschka from Lindach Castle near Roitham on the Traunfall .

The castle is located on a mountain slope and a private road leads to it. The retaining wall is flanked by a corner tower. The castle is elongated and consists of two parts of the building that are connected by a gate.
