The two-story, listed residential building at Römerstrasse 51 is located in the Thorr district in the district town of Bergheim in the Rhein-Erft district .

History and architecture

The locksmith Eugen Meurer lived in this house in 1934. This representative, two-storey, rural house dates from the end of the 19th century. The street facade is clad with yellow clinker bricks. The original residential part is structured by four window axes and a side gabled risalit. In the risalit is the arched entrance with a profiled wall. A cornice separates the floors. At the side is a two-axle wing with a basket arched passage on the ground floor and two windows above. It complements the house in a symmetrical way. There are round arch friezes on the eaves and in the gable.
