Lubricants

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Lubricants belong to the group of textile auxiliaries and serve to fat fibers (especially wool ) before spinning and to facilitate the spinning process for the production of yarns . As lubricants emulsified are mineral oils , organophosphate or olein (technical oleic acid ) are used.

It is important to remove the lubricant as completely as possible after spinning, because otherwise it would be difficult to dye the yarn or fabric properly. Olein can e.g. B. be easily washed out with soda solution .
