Schmalturm
As Schmalturm different tower designs were German tanks at the time of World War II referred.
These were in detail:
- The tower developed by Krupp based on the Henschel design VK 4503 (H), the later PzKpfw VI Ausf. B "Tiger II" ("King Tiger ").
- The tower of the planned version F of the PzKpfw V "Panther" .
- The prototype of a tower for the planned PzKpfw V "Panther II" .
For the turret of the Panther II, at the end of 1944, Krupp also considered placing it on the hull of the PzKpfw IV to increase its combat value . These considerations were dropped as the weight of the tower would have overloaded the landing gear.
