The spout also spout , spout or beak is facilitated without a bent rim on vessels, the pointed by its projecting end mold, the pouring of liquids. The pouring opening in whistling kettles is also called a snout.

etymology

Like Schnauze , the word originated from the Middle Low German word snût (e) and originally referred to parts protruding like snouts on various objects such as jugs, lamps and helmets.
