The Redende coat of arms of the community Bronschhofen reminded of the snail association court.

The Schneckenbundgericht was a lower court in the Wil office of the prince-abbot-Sanktgallischen old landscape on the border to the Landvogtei Thurgau .

The origin of the name is unclear. The court covered the area of Bronschhofen . The Wilberg divided the Schneckenbundgericht into an upper, hilly part with the settlements Rossrüti, Maugwil, Boxloo and Uerental and a lower, flat part with Bronschhofen, Trungen and Dreibrunnen.

The St. Gallen prince abbot Gotthard Giel combined the bailiffs of Trungen, Bronschhofen and Rossrüti and gave them an opening in 1495 . In 1525 the newly formed court was first called Schneggenpund . The blood jurisdiction was the federal governor in Thurgau. Ecclesiastically, the residents of the area belonged to Wil . In 1803 the Schneckenbundgericht was added to the city of Wil, but due to local opposition it was raised to an independent community of Bronschhofen in 1804.
