The shot Berg torture is under monument protection ( list entry standing) wayside chapel in the area of the district Old Town of Retz in Lower Austria .

The Schußbergmarter is located on the road from Retz to Oberretzbach at the crossing with the local railway Retz – Drosendorf .

The broad pillar erected according to the chronogram in 1744 is concave and has a volute gable. In a segmented arch niche behind the altar table, there is a mercy seat relief from the 18th century made of stone . There is just as little information available about the founder or the reason for its establishment as about the artists involved.
