School of imagination

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The "School of Imagination" goes back to a concept developed by Rudolf Seitz in 1978 , which postulates the need for additional support for imagination and creativity in addition to regular lessons.

In 1974 Rudolf Seitz carried out a model experiment on aesthetic elementary education in the Munich day-care center on Kemptenerstraße, which he supported scientifically as a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich.

After a one-year model test under the project management of Rudolf Seitz, the “Courses for Artistic Design” were introduced by the City of Munich in 1981. In 1987 the first school of fantasy was founded in Traunstein with Rudolf Seitz and Trixi Haberlander . In 1990 the “Courses for Artistic Design” of the City of Munich were renamed “School of Fantasy”. Since then, new foundations have been added at home and abroad.

Most schools of the imagination are publicly owned. The School of Fantasy Wolfratshausen is organized as a non-profit association, the School of Fantasy Graefelfing School of Fantasy Graefelfing as a non-profit limited company.
