Protection zone
The term protection zone can refer to different situations:
- the protection zones declared by the United Nations during the Yugoslav wars from 1991 to 1995, see UN protection zone
- comparable protection zones in other conflict areas, such as Nicosia Airport
- the protection zones established in the Slovak Republic in 1939, within which there were German military installations, see German-Slovak Protection Zone Statute
- Noise protection area with building restrictions and obligation to pay compensation, see law on protection against aircraft noise
- Ecological protection zones, see, among others, marine protected areas , protected areas in nature and landscape protection
- Defined empty area for logos
- in Austria the security police protection of areas in which criminal activities are likely; see protection zone (Security Police Act)
