Schweitzer Fachinformationen is an association of legally independent specialist and university bookstores and currently employs around 600 people in 24 cities in Germany.

history

The company has its origins in 1868, when Johann Baptist Schweitzer founded the Schweitzer range in Munich. In 1971 the bookstore was bought by Hans Dieter Beck and Wolfgang Beck, the owners of the CH Beck publishing house .

Schweitzer's target groups are lawyers, auditors and tax consultants as well as companies, public administrations and libraries.
