Swiss Society for Acoustics

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Swiss Society for Acoustics (SGA-SSA) was founded in 1971 and is an association for the promotion of acoustics in Switzerland .

The SGA organizes one conference each year in German-speaking and in French / Italian-speaking Switzerland, thus ensuring the direct exchange of experiences between Swiss acoustics experts.

Since 1994 the SGA has awarded the title “Diplom-Akustikerin SGA” to applicants who have proven their professional qualifications with written work and an oral examination.

The SGA also offers training courses and publishes its own publications.

The association is a member of the European Acoustics Association and in 2005 had around 300 individual and 140 collective members.
