The Swiss Employers' Association ( fr. : Union patronale suisse ; it. : Unione Svizzera degli Imprenditori ) represents the interests of Swiss employer in business, politics and the public. As an umbrella organization , it unites around 80 regional and industry-specific employers' associations as well as some individual companies from Switzerland . Overall, the association stands for 100,000 companies with almost 2 million employees from all economic sectors. Together with Economiesuisse and the Swiss Trade Associationthe Swiss Employers' Association is one of the largest and most important business associations in Switzerland. The association is led by Director Roland A. Müller and President Valentin Vogt . The association is based in Zurich .

Association policy

The association is the voice of Swiss employers in business, politics and the public. As an employer-policy opinion leader, he contributes significantly to the creation of optimal framework conditions in Switzerland as well as to the realization of a liberal and social market economy.

As the umbrella organization of the Swiss employers' associations, the association represents the interests of employers from all sectors, regions and sizes vis-à-vis the general public, politics, authorities, administration and other public institutions as well as other interest groups at national and international level.

The activity / subject areas are:

  • Labor market / labor law / social partner relationships (including occupational safety / health protection)
  • Education / vocational training and further education
  • Social Policy / Social Insurance / (Health Policy)

The highest body is the general assembly. It decides on the direction of the association's policy, approves the annual accounts and the annual report and elects the board members. The board consists of representatives of the affiliated branch and regional associations as well as freely chosen persons. It determines the guidelines of the association's policy, decides on fundamental statements by the association and elects the board committee, which is composed of 10 to 14 board members.

The board committee is responsible for the management of the association within the framework of the statutes and guidelines of the board. It decides on the budget, decides on important inputs and takes part in the coordination of association policy with the association members and in maintaining contacts with politics, authorities and the other business associations. The board committee and board are led by the president of the association, Valentin Vogt. Finally, the office takes care of the operational work of the association under the overall management of Director Roland A. Müller.
