The sword bar (also sword stake or dagger rod) is a medieval polearm from Europe.

description

A sword stick is a sword or dagger blade that is attached to the end of a wooden stick. This gives the weapon the power of a sword with the reach of a polearm. In this way, opponents can be fought equally well on foot and on horseback.

In Scandinavia , the sword staff (Svärdstav) enjoyed particular popularity among militias , especially in Denmark and Sweden .
