Floating barley

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The floating barley is a waste product of the soaking of the barley grains during malting . Floating barley usually consists of grains that have been damaged by feeding, causing air to be trapped and floating. The skimmed barley, like the spent grains (waste product from mashing ), is used as animal feed, mainly as poultry feed.
