Science Fiction World

Science Fiction World (科幻世界kē-Huan Shijie ) is a monthly science fiction - Magazine which in the ' People's Republic of China is published. Founded in Chengdu in 1979, it has dominated the Chinese SF magazine market since the 1990s with a circulation of 300,000 (at times it was even 500,000). This number makes it the SF magazine with the highest circulation worldwide. Since it is estimated that every magazine sold is read by around three to five people, the actual number of readers is probably more than a million. The main target group of the magazine consists of high school and college students.

In 1991 Science Fiction World organized a meeting of the World Science Fiction Society in Chengdu.
