Science and Technology Options Assessment

The Science and Technology Options Assessment ( STOA ) Committee is a committee of the European Parliament that deals with science and technology assessment .

The Vice President of Parliament, currently Oldřich Vlasák , is an ex officio member of the STOA committee; the other 14 members are nominated by the six standing parliamentary committees ITRE, EMPL, ENVI, IMCO, TRAN and AGRI.

The chairman is the Portuguese António Correia de Campos ; his deputies are the Austrian Paul Rübig and the British Malcolm Harbor .

The meetings are public, but only the 15 members of the committee are entitled to vote.
