Scoach was a joint venture between the SIX Swiss Exchange AG and Deutsche Börse AG , founded in 2007 and dissolved in mid-2013. Scoach focused on the segment of structured products and quickly developed into the leading European exchange in this area. The Scoach Europa AG served here with the Frankfurter platform the German and European market, Scoach Switzerland with the Zurich platform the Swiss market.

history

In a joint press release on May 5, 2006 , the SWX Group and Deutsche Börse AG announced their intention to combine their warrants and certificate activities .

The contract for the joint project, which was initially named "Alex", was signed on October 23, 2006; operations began on January 1, 2007. Since September 1, 2007, the joint venture has operated under the name “Scoach”.

On April 28, 2008 Scoach migrated trading in around 300,000 products from floor trading on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange to a new version of the fully electronic trading platform Xetra . This gave the more than 260 banks and securities trading houses connected to the trading platform direct access to the broadest range of structured products worldwide.

The joint venture was dissolved in mid-2013. Scoach Europa AG had been a wholly-owned subsidiary of Deutsche Börse AG since July 1, 2013 and Scoach Schweiz AG a wholly-owned subsidiary of SIX Swiss Exchange AG . Both platforms were operated independently of one another. On November 1, 2013, Scoach Europa AG was renamed Börse Frankfurt Certificates AG. At the same time, Scoach Schweiz AG was renamed SIX Structured Products Exchange AG for the Swiss market. The Scoach brand disappeared in Germany.
