description
Each of the up to ten players has a tank with which they stand on a 2D map and have to hit other tanks. The player can only adjust the firepower and the angle of fire to destroy one of the enemy tanks. As a natural influencing factor there is wind, which changes the ballistic trajectory of the bullet. Depending on the map, lightning (during a thunderstorm) can damage the tanks.
Whoever has won a round receives money, depending on the number of hits, with which he can buy further weapons and defense systems. From small missiles to a MIRV or an atomic bomb , everything is available. You can also buy so-called diggers to destroy the landscape.
In addition to the original Tank Wars, there are also numerous newer implementations, such as Scorched 3D or the commercially very successful Worms .
