The company SCORE-Tankstellen und Mineralölhandels-GmbH in Emden has 47 gas stations in north-west Germany, most of them in East Frisia . There are seven petrol stations in Emden, three more in Aurich and a further 13 in other parts of East Frisia. There are seven petrol stations in the neighboring Oldenburger Land . Score is represented twice on motorways: at the Hasbruch-Süd service area on the 28 federal motorway , in Ganderkesee and on the 2 motorway in Hämelerwald near Hanover. The company also trades in mineral oil. There are 27 employees. The annual turnover in 2010 was 144.2 million euros, the profit in 2016 was 3,028,051 euros, the balance sheet total in the same year was 41 million euros.

history

Apollonia Riedl-Defet and Helmut Riedl founded the company in 1965. At first it was purely a real estate business in the mineral oil branch. In 1972, the medium-sized company entered the gas station business with a single gas station in Remels . Since then it has continuously expanded the petrol station network. Today there are a total of 60 Score petrol stations. After Riedl's death in 1997, Apollonia Riedl-Defet headed the company. She died in January 2016. Thomas Ehrlich is the managing director.

In the 1990s, the chain was the main sponsor of Kickers Emden , and Helmut Riedl was the club's president at the time. The international SCORE Bernhard Wicki Prize is awarded € 20,000 by the Score company.
