Scorio (composed of English score (German: Partitur) and Italian io (German: I) in the sense of 'I write notes') is an online community for musicians to write, publish and find sheet music. A full-text search can be used to search for published grades and other community content. Moderated forums are used for communication between users and for establishing contact with fun communications .

History and meaning

The scorio.com music notation portal went online with a beta version for the first time in May 2010. Public service began on November 15, 2010.

The Scorio score editor is an online music notation program that, like Weblily, uses LilyPond as a layout engine. While notes are entered textually in Weblily, in Scorio they are entered via a graphical user interface. Scorio differs from the online score editor Noteflight, which is implemented with Flash , in the HTML5 display of the scores. This means that Scorio can also be used on platforms that do not support Flash (e.g. on the Apple iPad ). In contrast to most other music notation programs , Scorio does not require installation on the user's computer as it runs in the browser.

Features of the note editor

The note editor is a WYSIWYG - music notation program , in which scores only with the computer mouse can be entered. The HTML -based grade editor is only offered online for use in the web browser . The score is created with LilyPond.
