Scott Beatty

Scott Beatty (* 1969 ) is an American non-fiction and comic book author .

Life

Beatty has been an author of comic stories and, above all, of secondary literature on comics since the mid-1990s . In this context, he has made a name for himself primarily through his work on various encyclopedic projects in the comic field, such as the DC Comics Encyclopedia or Batman: The Ultimate Guide to the Dark Knight , as well as through the editing of accompanying material for movies such as Batman Begins : The Visual Guide excelled.

As a comic book writer, Beatty worked in the past through mediation and in collaboration with his "mentor" Chuck Dixon mainly for the US publishers DC-Comics and Dark Horse . Dixons co- wrote several editions of the Robin and Nightwing series for DC , as well as the Batgirl: Year One and Joker: Last Laugh miniseries . He also wrote the Batman series Gotham Knights for a year and a half as the successor to Devin Grayson . Beatty wrote several Star Wars comics for Dark Horse .
