Joachim Durrang

Joachim Durrang (born November 2, 1957 in Bexbach ) is a German writer and painter .

Life

Joachim Durrang attended the humanistic high school Johanneum in Homburg , came to Frankfurt am Main in 1978, began to study at the Philosophical-Theological University of St. Georgen , spent a year in Berkeley, California, and continued his studies at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt on the Main .

Joachim Durrang has published in magazines and anthologies as well as on the radio. He appeared on television shows. Two books appeared before Durrang focused on performances and readings for a while. Since 2016, volumes of poetry have been published in quick succession. Many of his texts are unpublished, others have been lost. He writes prose, dramas, radio plays, spiritual texts, poetry. As a draftsman and painter, he has had various exhibitions, including in the Gallus Center and in the exhibition hall 1A in Frankfurt am Main.

He is a co-founder (together with Ewart Reder ) of the literary program WortWellen ( Radio X (Frankfurt) ) and was a board member of the Association of German Writers , State Association of Hesse. Parts of his unpublished work are archived in the literature archive Saar-Lor-Lux-Alsace at the Saarland University in Saarbrücken.
