Moldavian scholarship
The Moldaustipendium was awarded from 1998 to 2010 by the State of Hesse for artist residencies in the Egon Schiele Art Centrum in Český Krumlov , Czech Republic, to Hessian artists of all art fields or who have lived in Hesse for at least two years .
Details
With this scholarship, the state of Hesse paid a grant for lodging and the use of an artist's apartment including a studio, as well as a one-time travel allowance.
I.a. Austria (since 1995), the federal state of Upper Austria (since 1999), Hungary (1998 to 2014) and Taiwan (since 2004) also grant residency grants for artists in their region.
Award
The scholarship holders were selected by the Hessian Ministry for Science and Art . The scholarship was designed for a period of one to two months. Applications from female artists were preferred. In addition to a biography, the application had to enclose materials on current artistic work as well as expectations of the stay in Český Krumlov and the presentation of projects planned there. Between 1998 and 2010 the scholarship was awarded over 100 times by the ministry.
