Olaf Hauke
Olaf Hauke (* 1935 in Breslau ) is a German painter and graphic artist .
Live and act
Hauke studied graphics and book art in Leipzig . In his panel paintings, painted in a technique similar to that of the old masters, he takes up themes that he shapes in a surrealistic or ironic manner . He is married to the book and film author Mechthild Curtius, who lives in Frankfurt am Main . In 1989 the couple founded the Curtius and Hauke edition , in which texts by Curtius appear, which are combined with color flat-screen graphics by Hauke.
The artist lives and works in Hanau-Steinheim and Frankfurt am Main.
