Sears Canada Inc. was a retail company headquartered in Toronto . The company had branches in all the provinces. In total, Sears Canada operated 196 corporate stores, 195 dealer stores, 38 hardware stores, 108 travel agencies and a network of on-site installation services. The company had its own subsidiary that was responsible for logistics. Headquartered in Kingston, Ontario, SLH Transport had 620 trucks, 3,700 trailers, and 900 smaller partnership-operated storage facilities spread across the country. Thus, indirectly through the partners, the company employed a total of over 33,000 people. The company was listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange .

The company sold clothing, household appliances, furniture, jewelry, hand tools and various electrical appliances in the audio / video and IT sectors.

The largest Sears stores were in Toronto , in the Eaton Center and in the Pacific Center in Vancouver .

In June 2017 Sears Canada closed after years of continuous losses an application for bankruptcy protection . In October 2017 it was announced that all branches would be closed; the sale started a few weeks later and was completed on January 14, 2018. Over 10,000 employees lost their jobs.
