Sebastián Ignacio González Valdés (born December 14, 1978 in Viña del Mar ) is a former Chilean football player.

Career

society

González began his career in 1998 at CSD Colo-Colo . In 2002 after four years at Colo-Colo, he moved to CF Atlante at the beginning of Apertura 2002. He scored thirteen goals in nineteen games in Apertura and at the end of Clausura 2002 it was sixteen games and sixteen goals. In the following season he scored six goals in the Apertura and eight goals in the Clausura. With his many goals he became very popular in Mexico and got the funny nickname "Chespirito". During Apertura 2004 he scored twelve goals in seventeen games.

In 2006 he moved to the UANL Tigres . However, he was then transferred on loan to CD Veracruz and Olimpo de Bahía Blanca in Argentina . After neither of the two clubs signed him, González let his contract with the UANL Tigres expire and switched to UAG Tecos in 2008 , where he played the Apertura 2008. For the Clausura 2008, the clubs UAG Tecos and Club León were able to agree on an exchange. González exchanged with the then top scorer Fredy Bareiro from Club León. He was in the captain's armband in his last game for Club León before the then 30-year-old returned to his first club CSD Colo-Colo . However, it was only loaned out. In 2009 he then moved to the Cypriot association APOP Kinyras Peyias . After one season, ten games and four goals, he moved to Mexico to Potros Neza . But only one season later he moved to Bolivia to join Club The Strongest . After only one season he moved to FC Caracas , but in January 2013 he was drawn to CD Palestino in his home country.

National team

Sebastián González was a player in the Chilean Olympic team at the soccer tournament at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney and surprisingly won the bronze medal.
