Sebastiano Testa

Sebastiano Testa (born February 26, 1964 ) is a former Italian - German football player who is now active as a coach and referee in Württemberg amateur football.

Athletic career

The son of Italian guest workers played for SSV Ulm in 1846 when he was young . There the defender moved up as a teenager in the reserve team, with whom he won the district cup in 1984. At the same time he was occasionally used in the competition team under coach Paul Sauter . In the 1982/83 season he contributed in 15 games to winning the championship title in the then third-class Oberliga Baden-Württemberg , then the team prevailed in the promotion round to the 2nd Bundesliga . There he sat on the bench several times, his only professional appearance he recorded on March 10, 1984 when he was substituted on for Robert Birner at halftime in the 1: 5 away defeat at KSV Hessen Kassel . This was the last high-class appearance for the "sparrows", even after the later relegation to the league it was no longer used.

Testa later appeared as a coach in Württemberg amateur football. Among other things, he was responsible for the regional division ESC Ulm until October 2017 , before he resigned from his position for health reasons. At the end of October 2018, he took over the coaching position at the regional league club VfB Ulm .

Testa's main job is for a bus manufacturer in Neu-Ulm, where he was a member of the works council .
