The Six Yogas of Niguma ( Tib. Ni gu chos drug ) are six tantric yoga exercises that originate from the Indian yogini Niguma (11th century) and refer to the Yogini Sukhasiddhi (disciple of the master Virupa ) and her Tibetan disciple, the Yogi Khyungpo Naljor , the founder of the Shangpa Kagyu School. These six teachings are named similarly to the Six Yogas of Naropa , but differ from them in the details of their practice. The Dakini Niguma was a spiritual companion of Naropa . These teachings were transferred from the Shangpa Kagyu tradition into the tradition of the Gelug school. The second Dalai Lama , Gendün Gyatsho (1475–1542), wrote a commentary on these Six Yogas entitled ni gu chos drug rgyas pa khrid yig .
