Sausage festival
A sausage festival is a festival that is particularly widespread in the midwest and southern United States ( German Belt ). It is comparable to the German Oktoberfest and is considered the largest German folk festival in America.

Similar festivals like the Wurstfest have existed in the USA since 1845, when the Mainz Aristocracy Association brought thousands of German settlers to the new world .
German - especially Bavarian - culture is celebrated at the Wurstfest.
