Secolo Verlag (own spelling: secolo) publishes titles from the areas of Asian literature, children's and young people's books, culture and politics, and regional literature. The most important project on Asian literature is the German edition of the Korean family saga "Land" by the famous author Park Kyung-ni . The German Koreanist Helga Picht is the translator of the previously published volumes of »Land«. The project is also supported by the Korea-Verband eV and the Literature Translation Institute of Korea. With the translation and publication of "The Dreaming Brutmaschine", secolo Verlag presents a work by Pak Wanso , another important South Korean writer. Children's and young people's books are still a young area. The publisher is a 100 percent subsidiary of the agency sec Kommunikation und Gestaltung GmbH.

The production of hard covers and paperbacks is the focus of Secolo's work. In cooperation with translators, photographers, illustrators, paper mills and printers, the publishing house develops individual titles with its own book designers.
