history
SecurePIM is a product of Virtual Solution AG based in Munich and Berlin. Virtual Solution AG is a German company specializing in the development of IT security solutions for the protection of mobile devices for both authorities and companies.
In 2015, the BSI Virtual Solution granted preliminary approval for the SecurePIM Government SDS product. The final approval took place in May 2017.
In 2016, the procurement office of the Federal Ministry of the Interior concluded a framework agreement for the federal administration on the delivery and installation of the mobile security solution "SecurePIM Government". SecurePIM Government SDS is therefore available directly from the federal department store .
Scope of services
SecurePIM supports various ActiveSync implementations ( e.g. Exchange, IBM Domino Notes ) and, in addition to the usual PIM functions, includes the following modules: Access to e-mail, contacts, calendar, notes, tasks, documents, browsers, file shares and intranet pages as well as a secure one Camera. Various MS Office documents can be edited in the document module.

In order to meet the highest security requirements, all asymmetric crypto operations are carried out on a smart card.
The private keys never leave the hardware security module . SecurePIM basically supports ISO-7816 -certified cards; ATOS CardOS 4.2 and higher as well as global platform (JCOP) cards were tested. A wide range of different types of smart card readers is supported.
E-mails can be encrypted and decrypted both with the IBM Domino server internal encryption and with the S / MIME security standard.
SecurePIM is based on the in-house developed, cross-platform security framework for secure applications (SERA). The security framework is part of the BSI approval.

SecurePIM is used at all authority levels and in various companies to secure mobile communication up to VS-NfD .
