SeeBeyond Technology Corporation (former name: STC Software Technology Corporation) was an American software company based in Monrovia , California ( USA ). It was founded in 1989 and last employed around 800 people worldwide. SeeBeyond was acquired by Sun Microsystems on June 28, 2005 for $ 387 million.

SeeBeyond developed software products for the integration of applications and systems in companies ( Enterprise Application Integration ). The most important products were the integration broker e * Gate and the SOA suite ICAN (Integrated Composite Application Network). The latter was renamed and further developed after the takeover by Sun Microsystems in JCAPS ( Java Composite Application Platform Suite ).
