Zinnowitz pier
The Zinnowitz pier is a pier in Zinnowitz on the Baltic Sea .
history
In 1897 a jetty was built in Zinnowitz , which was used to transport tourists by ship. From here the tourists had to be brought to the ships by boat. In 1908 a pier was built in Zinnowitz; the bridge was lengthened by about 350 meters in 1909. After renovations and expansions, a bridge house was added, the express steamers operating in the regular service could also dock here. As the bridge had been destroyed due to severe weathering damage and pack ice, it was removed in the late 1940s.
In the autumn of 1993, the current 315 meter long bridge with two platforms was inaugurated with the name Vineta . In 2006 a diving gondola was installed at the end of the bridge .
