Seefuchs is the name of an underwater drone used by the German Navy .

The drone is used to track down and blow up sea ​​mines . The torpedo-shaped device is controlled by a fiber optic cable. The device has its own close-range sonar and a built-in video camera, with which an optical identification of found objects should be possible. The Seefuchs type drone is designed as a “disposable drone” and has an explosive charge with 1.4 kg of TNT, with which mines are blown up.
