Seegefeld is a district of the city of Falkensee, west of Berlin .
Seegefeld was first mentioned in 1265. The manor, founded by Georg von Ribbeck , has been located here since 1572 , the property of which was bought up, parceled out and given to new settlers in 1898 by the German settlement bank. In 1923 the neighboring towns of Falkenhagen and Seegefeld merged, whereby the name of the new municipality, Falkensee, was composed of the two old place names.
The Seegefeld stop is on the Berlin-Hamburg Railway between the Berlin-Albrechtshof stop and the Falkensee train station and was opened in 1995 as the Seegefeld / Herlitzwerke train station. After a possible extension of the S-Bahn to Havelland (Falkensee), this stop is to serve the Berlin S-Bahn traffic. Today's Falkensee station was previously called Seegefeld Station and was renamed after Falkensee was founded.
Several bus lines also allow access to large parts of Falkensee, as well as to the neighboring community of Dallgow-Döberitz.
