Seaman's grave

The sailor grave is one of the cross , heart and anchor composite motif of Christian iconography . The cross, heart and anchor symbolize the Christian virtues of faith, love and hope , which are particularly known from Paul's first letter to the Corinthians ( 1 Cor 13:13  EU ) . The motif is mainly used for pendants, brooches and tattoos .
