The Segel Journal (own spelling "segel JOURNAL" or "SEGEL JOURNAL") is a sailing magazine. It is published six times a year by SJV Segel Journal Verlag GmbH in Hamburg. According to the publisher, the main group of readers are male readers, "active sailors", predominantly over 30 years of age.

Since November 2012, the edition is no longer reported to the IVW. In the last IVW-tested edition for the 3rd quarter of 2012, the number of copies sold was 11,290.

The sailing journal is divided into the following sections (as of August 2009):

  • sports - with reports from international offshore regattas ;
  • yachting - presentation of sailing yachts, reports on spectacular yachts, reports on navigation and on-board technology
  • travel - travel reports and sailing areas, yacht charter ; Hotels and restaurants on the water, North / Baltic Sea, Atlantic, Mediterranean and overseas
  • sailors - portraits of extraordinary sailors, maritime fashion, blue water, classics

Other smaller sections (including “Magazin”, “news”, “tec Guide”, “Charter Guide”) complete the magazine.
