Christ blessing in Manado

The blessing Christ ( Indonesian : Kristus kase Berkat , Malaysian : Yesus Memberkati ) is a 30 meter high statue of Christ in Manado , the capital of the province of North Sulawesi , Indonesia . It is the second tallest of its kind in Asia and, together with the Cristo Redentor in Rio de Janeiro, the sixth tallest in the world. It has become a new landmark in the city of Manado.

description

The statue stands on private land on top of CitraLand's estate. If you add the 20-meter-high steel platform , the monument reaches a height of 50 meters. It consists of 25 tons of steel wire ("metal fiber") and 35 tons of steel. The statue leans forward 20 degrees, which is why it is sometimes called the "first and largest flying statue in the world".

Emergence

The idea comes from Ir. Ciputra, an Indonesian project developer. It was built for Manado and the Society of North Sulawesi and serves the worship of God. The construction time was almost three years. The construction was carried out by Yogjakarta Engineer. The cost was five billion rupees (about $ 540,000).
