The Seimeishi Kenkyūkan ( Japanese 生命 誌 研究 館 , English Biohistory Research Hall , BRH for short) is a biodiversity museum and research laboratory established in 1993 in Takatsuki in the Japanese prefecture of Osaka . It is operated by the tobacco company JT . In a cooperation with the University of Osaka and their graduate school, it also employs scientists. The journal Seimeishi ( 生命 誌 , English Biohistory ) is published quarterly . The director has been the biologist Keiko Nakamura since 2002, the predecessor was Tokindo Okada since it was founded.

Admission to the museum is free, and tours of the five laboratories are also free. Researchers hold public lectures about once a month, and the BRH also organizes a summer school .
