Seitenalm

The Seitenalm is an alpine pasture in the Törwang district of the municipality of Samerberg .

Three alpine huts of the Seitenalm are under monument protection and are registered under the number D-1-87-172-72 in the Bavarian monument list.

Building description

One of the Seitenalm buildings is a single-storey, flat saddle roof structure towed away on one side with plastered quarry stone masonry . The gable and knee are paneled and the door has a wrought iron window grille. The ridge purlin is marked with the year 1770.

Another building is a single-storey flat saddle roof construction with slurry stone masonry. The gable and knee are also paneled. The building was built in the 18th century.

The third building is also a single-storey flat saddle roof construction with unplastered quarry stone masonry and a boarded gable. The core of the building also dates from the 18th century, but has been heavily renovated.

Todays use

The Seitenalm is used for agriculture.
