In side sills is the sill beneath the driver and front passenger door of a car-mounted plastic rails.

description

The side skirts are firmly screwed to the load-bearing sill and are used in racing to improve the flow around a racing car. In interaction with spoilers , front and rear wings as well as other add-on parts, the road holding of a racing car is improved, since at higher speeds a suction effect occurs, i.e. the lift is reduced. In privately used vehicles, side skirts are usually only used to beautify the body.
