The Seiterswegbrücke is a road bridge over the Odenwaldbahn in Darmstadt-Ost .
Construction and history
The Seiterswegbrücke was built in 1872 and belongs to the Odenwaldbahn. The sandstone bridge is an important historical connection between the city center, Mathildenhöhe and Rosenhöhe . The single-bay, segmented arch bridge with sandstone railings on both sides was placed under monument protection as a typical example of the technology of the 1870s in Darmstadt . The bridge was extensively renovated in 2017 and is now used for pedestrian and bicycle traffic.
