The Political Rights Section is a section of the Swiss Federal Chancellery .

tasks

The Political Rights Section organizes all federal votes / ballot boxes and National Council elections . She creates and prepares the voting calendar. It informs the electorate about the procedure for popular initiatives and the referendum , as well as formally examining every federal popular initiative, and checking the validity of the signatures for referendums.
