Self-promotion

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Self-promotion is a term from forestry . While the wood is usually harvested, processed and then made available to the consumer by the forest administration, the recipient takes on this work himself in the case of self-promotion. This process is often carried out when firewood is obtained (advertised) . Here, the customer harvests the firewood by hand and for his own account on the basis of a contract with the forest owner or his agent.

A firewood self-procurer acquires a right to purchase a certain amount of firewood from the forest owner by means of a firewood contract or is assigned a certain area for firewood processing by the forest owner. Payment is made directly to the forest owner. The allocated amount of wood may be lying on the wood surface, or so-called. The cases of standing timber is typically only commercial self advertisers permitted for safety reasons and is subject to the corresponding obligation to provide evidence.

The self-recruiter can then, within the permitted times, process the contractually agreed amount of firewood lying in this forest or wooded area - i.e. H. move and dismantle - and transport away, following the instructions of the forest owner. Since this work does not have to be carried out by the responsible forestry office or by a commercial fuel dealer, the price for self-procured firewood is significantly lower than that to be paid in the timber trade.

Since working in the forest and especially with a chainsaw is not without risk, self-recruiters usually have to meet certain requirements:

Self-promotion is not limited to timber harvesting. In the Ohrntal, for example, wild garlic is also harvested for commercial purposes on the basis of a self- promotion contract.
