The Zellbach , also called Rettenbach , is an 8 km long brook in the Upper Bavarian districts of Ebersberg and Rosenheim , which flows from the left into the lower Attel after a total of approximately south-south-east running near the wasteland of Lettenberg in the municipality of Frauenneuharting in the Ebersberger district .

geography

course

The Zellbach arises at Klausschuster a little west of the parish village of Tulling in the Steinhöring community on the eastern edge of the Ebersberg district at about 492  m above sea level. NHN . Its origin lies at the edge of the forest on the flat south-east slope of a low threshold in front of the valley of the lowest Attel tributary Ebrach , the course of which is a little more than a kilometer away. In an approximately south-easterly direction the stream flows in a small, somewhat angular ditch between meadows and fields towards the EBE 20 Tulling – Frauenneuharting district road, which cuts its upper valley basin at an angle, which it then after less than a kilometer to about 477  m above sea level. NHN crosses.

Then it runs in a very flat and straight course, gradually changing on a south course at just a few bends, a more and more widening felt plain between small hilly young moraine ranges in the west and northeast and east, here it takes up many drainage ditches from both sides, the longer ones already arise in the edge hills. The valley, which is over three kilometers wide and very flat, is filled with small patches of forest, fields and, above all, meadows and, apart from a few wastelands, is almost free of settlement. After about two and a half of the total of about five kilometers of this section of the run, the ditch of the Zellbach crosses into the area of Frauenneuharting , half a kilometer further from the north reaches the municipal boundary to Pfaffing with its eponymous capital on the eastern edge hills the run, which is also the border to the district Rosenheim is. According to this, the creek, which now runs southwards, is mostly border waters.

After the Almer Bach inflow from the west from Jakobneuharting , which like its main town is already further north on the western edge of the hills, the Zellbach now goes up to about 471  m above sea level. NHN in its first loop and then meanders past the Pfaffinger Einöde Zellbach , which is located in a small community corner to the right of the run. The RO 43, then continued as EBE 9 on the Frauenneuhartinger mark, also crosses the stream here. The Zellbach then meanders again as the border brook of the two communities on a large scale, now south-eastern course, past the Frauenneuhartinger Einöden Zell and Lettenberg right on the bank and then flows out at about 468  m above sea level. NHN from the left into the lower Attel , a little in front of its north arch at Pfaffing.

The 8.0 km long Zellbach loses about 24 m in height on its course and thus has a mean bed gradient of about 3 ‰.

Catchment area

The Zellbach drains 36.3 km² south to Attel. Its little stretched catchment area has an extension of up to 7.8 km in north-south direction and up to 6.8 km across. It borders in the northwest and north on that of the lowest Attel tributary Ebrach , otherwise on the more insignificant tributaries of the Attel. The right watershed runs quite deep in the edge heights of this side and reaches heights of up to 586  m above sea level at the church village Traxl von Ebersberg . NHN , the less extensive and high on the left near Pfaffing a maximum of 512  m above sea level. NHN .

Tributaries

Hierarchical list of tributaries from source to mouth. Because of the numerous drainage ditches, only the longer tributaries named on the BayernAtlas are noted, which arise as streams in the edge heights. Length of water, catchment area and altitude mostly according to the BayernAtlas. Other sources for the information are noted.

Origin of the Zellbach or Rettenbach at about 492  m above sea level. NHN west of Steinhöring- Tulling near Klausschuster.

  • Springelbach, from the left and northeast to about 473  m above sea level. NHN opposite the Sensauer Filzen , approx. 3.1 km and approx. 4.8 km². Three spring branches, the longest rises at about 496  m above sea level. NHN on the northern edge of Pfaffing- Forsting . The length and catchment area are larger than the official Zellbach upper reaches.
  • Kesselbach, from the left and northwest to about 472  m above sea level. NHN in Freimoos , approx. 4.5 km and approx. 5.2 km². Arises at about 545  m above sea level. NHN north of Ebersberg - Pollmoos .
    • Buchbach, from the right and southwest to about 489  m above sea level. NHN on the western edge of the village of Sensau von Steinhöring , approx. 2.8 km and approx. 1.3 km². Arises at about 557  m above sea level. NHN south of Ebersberg - Traxl .
  • Almer Bach, from the right and southwest to about 471  m above sea level. NHN after crossing the Jakobneuhartinger felt , approx. 4.3 km and 3.9 km². Arises at about 523  m above sea level. NHN between the Frauenneuhartinger villages of Gersdorf and Tegernau .

Mouth of the Zellbach from the left and finally northwest to about 468  m above sea level. NHN near the Frauenneuhartinger Einöde Lettenberg from the left and north into the lower Attel . The Zellbach is 8.0 km long and has a catchment area of 36.3 km² behind it.

  4. Length measured on the BayernAtlas.
  5. ↑ Catchment area measured on the BayernAtlas. The measurement of the catchment areas is very inaccurate because of the continuous drainage ditches between neighboring Zellbach tributaries and because of the very irregular elevations in the young moraine hills of the upper courses.
