Tulling is a place with about 500 inhabitants in the municipality of Steinhöring in the district of Ebersberg in Bavaria and is about 40 km from the Bavarian capital, Munich .

Tulling is located between Ebersberg and Wasserburg am Inn on the federal highway 304 , a nationally important connection from Munich via Ebersberg, Wasserburg and Traunstein to Salzburg . The place Tulling is mentioned for the first time in a Freising document 825. The branch church of Tulling is a Gothic building, built at the end of the 15th century . The nave has three bays , the retracted choir has one yoke. St. Pankratius is the patron of the church. The Tullinger pilgrims have been making pilgrimages to St. Leonhard in Inchenhofen since 1718 (for several decades they have been going there on Whit Saturday).

The local clubs in Tulling ( Stopselclub Tulling, Schützengesellschaft Tulling, Freiwillige Feuerwehr Tulling and Steinhöringer Blasmusik) were able to open their own village community center in 2008 , in which a large part of the cultural and social life of the place takes place. Another track with a loading line was available for freight traffic. The station building is no longer occupied and the freight track has been dismantled. The platform for passenger trains was modernized by the Südostbayernbahn in 2012, the platform was raised to 76 centimeters above the top of the rails and lengthened to 140 meters. The Südostbayernbahn currently operates mostly single-unit diesel multiple units of the 628 series.

With the timetable change on December 14, 2014, the range of journeys offered by the regional trains of the Südostbayernbahn, which run from Grafing to Wasserburg and are extended from Grafing to Munich East during rush hour , was expanded considerably. Since then, the regional trains have been running from Monday to Friday mostly every 60 minutes, on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays there is a two-hour rhythm between Grafing and Wasserburg. The Bayerische Eisenbahngesellschaft (BEG) intends to introduce 60-minute intervals on weekends as part of a new tender for regional rail services won by Südostbayernbahn from December 2016.
