Selena You (2014)

Selena Du (* in Milan ) is the Miss Intercontinental 2014 of the USA.

biography

Selena Du's paternal great-grandfather was a military officer in the former Soviet Union . Her maternal grandfather was an army doctor in China under General Feng Yuxiang . Her father and her uncle both worked in Germany. The latter is a professor at the University of Göttingen.

Born in Milan, Selena Du spent the first ten years of her childhood in Europe before moving to the United States. At the age of six she began taking ballet lessons. She was a member of the Beijing Television (BTV) Youth Performing Troupe and the China Central Television (CCTV) Galaxy Troupe . During this time she also began taking singing and acting lessons. She has appeared in various TV productions and shows. After moving to the USA, she was accepted into the Piedmont Choir , one of the USA's children's choirs.

She also appeared as a solo singer on international stages and competitions. Selena Du is known to the Asian population through appearances in Asian TV shows and interviews in magazines. She is fluent in English, French and Mandarin.

During her time as a journalist, Selena Du interviewed personalities from film and sports. After completing her master's degree in journalism, she wants to work as a news anchor.

Volunteering

From volunteering in local libraries and schools to visiting orphanages and women's shelters, Selena Du has supported charitable organizations. She created links between various organizations that help children in Africa and East Asia. She used her salary from her last film A Time in Aba to enable nine children to go to school.
