The Selevir Dam ( Turkish Selevir Barajı ) is located 30 km south-southeast of the provincial capital Afyonkarahisar in the province of the same name .

The Selevir Dam was built between 1960 and 1964 in the Şuhut district on Kali Çayı, a right tributary of the Akarçay . It serves to irrigate an area of ​​9192 ha. The barrier structure is a 31.4 m high earthfill dam . The dam volume is 650,000 m³. The reservoir covers an area of ​​5 km² with normal damming. The storage space is 57 million m³.
