The Eiðar transmission mast is a long wave transmission mast in the east of Iceland .

The place Eiðar is 14 km north of Egilsstaðir on Borgarfjarðarvegur S94 .

With a height of 220 meters, it is the second tallest structure in Iceland after the Gufuskálar transmitter mast . It was originally supposed to be built higher, but this could not be implemented due to its proximity to Egilsstaðir Airport .

The transmission mast, which is isolated from earth, radiates at 207 kHz with an output of 100 kW and is operated by Icelandic radio .
